If anyone needs help with their computer let me know. There are many tool that would allow me to provide remote assistance with computer problems as long as you can connect to the internet. Mostly it would involve virus removal and general operating system troubleshooting/tuneups.
There are a few scams going around right now. One involves someone claiming to be from Microsoft that calls and wants to access your computer. DO NOT DO IT. They end up adding software to your computer, saying it's broke or infected with a virus or malware then want you to pay for them to fix it.
The other big one going around is call the Moneypak virus (aka FBI Virus, DOJ virus, etc). Typically what happens is a screen comes up saying the FBI, CIA, or Department of Justice has locked your computer because you've violated a law and you have to pay a fine to unlock your computer. DO NOT PAY THEM. If you do pay them you end up giving them $200, $300, or $500 and your computer is still locked down with the virus.
Last but not least if you see anything that says mywebsearch or conduit or search conduit you have a virus. Another indication is if you have a bunch of toolbars in internet explorer or if your computer goes to websites other than the one you type in.
