Hello Everyone
I just wanted to start a new section related to exercise. Every since I have been diagnosed I have find it extremely difficult to exercise. I have tried many different things, however; it all seems to painful to keep at it. Does anyone have an exercise routines that works for you, you would like to share?
Thanks

My melo is in my ankle. I've been advised by my physio to avoid high impact exercises (eg no running). My primary exerises have been walking, group Pilates, and swimming. I've been meaning to try a good elliptical machine as they are low impact but still cardio.
I've found my ankle gets 'stuck' in bad positions, and that's when I get pain +++ (must be nerve pain bc it's burning and shooting). I can live with my tight, stiff, achiness that seems to just be me with melo. I live near the beach, and sand walking helps me to mobilise the joint. When my ankle pain gets bad, I visit a Physio (Physical Therapist) where they passively range and stretch the joint and that has helped me significantly.
For after exercise pain/aches, gentle movement and heat packs have really helped me manage my condition - but I have a milder form. I avoid letting my leg feel cold as that also seems to set it off. For a while I took anti-inflammatories, but I have an unrelated condition and can't take them anymore on a regular basis. I've thought about trying regular fish oil capsules (due to the anti-inflammatory properties it's been proven to provide arthritis sufferers).
Weight management really helps my pain, as I've found my ankle has been worse during both pregnancies, and improved greatly after birth.

Can you describe the "stuck" part a little more? I've had an issue with my elbow for a while and it gets stuck to the point I can't fully extend it and have to use my hand to press up and it kinda snaps back to normal.
